CERTIFICATE IN FORENSIC PSYCHOLOGY AND INVESTIGATIONS
The Certificate in Forensic Psychology and Investigations is a one-year (ZQF Level 5) program that builds foundational skills in forensic psychology, criminal investigations, and investigative practices. It spans two phases: the first six months deliver theory via lectures, seminars, discussions, and assignments; the second six months provide supervised practical attachments in settings like law enforcement, correctional facilities, or forensic units. The program bridges psychological insights on offender behavior, victim support, and evidence evaluation with investigative techniques, addressing gaps in Zambia's justice system amid rising crime, domestic violence, and organized crime. It supports national goals in public safety, mental health in justice, crime prevention, offender rehabilitation, and efficient judicial processes.
